After returning from one life changing experience and immediately embarking on a another with barely a breath between, I feel like I’m finally beginning to settle into the current chapter. Really, I’m simply embracing the current chapter vice referring to it as the “next” chapter! So, I’m pursuing the adventure one page at a time.
Every chapter is a journey. In fact, the transition from one chapter to the next is a journey! I’ve been stuck in that transition–neither moving from the last chapter page nor starting the next. I’ve been stuck in the page turn, if you will! That’s not entirely true. The pages have been turning, I just haven’t been acknowledging them!
In honor of the current chapter and the many to come, I’m starting a new blog to chronicle my adventures with God. My ultimate pursuit is ultimate truth, which is none other than God Himself. I leave you with the words of Paul to the Philippian church:
Not that I have already obtained [God’s Righteousness], or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:12-14
Hi Rae,
I like the site – very nice. Also like the content! Funny – Donna Crouch preached a good message on that very scripture reference at Hillsong Church this past Sunday! “Occupying the space you are in”
